We Love Cover Crops!

Cover crops (barley in this case) are being rolled over just before the seeds are fully grown. They are very important in between cash crops to keep roots in the soil all year round. This stabilizes soil live for an intact ecosystem, helps with water holding capacity, protects the ground from erosion and returns nutrients into the soil for natural fertilization for the following cash crops.
